Expect a charming location with a historical vibe and a pool for cooling off after exploring. The staff is mostly friendly, though service can be hit or miss. Rooms vary significantly in quality—some are dated and may need better maintenance. Breakfast is decent but lacks variety. A bit of a walk to major attractions, but enjoyable.

We enjoyed our stay and loved that we were just a short walk away from the beautiful Boboli Gardens, as well as a lovely 20-minute stroll to the vibrant city center with all its iconic sites, making our weekend explorations so much easier and more enjoyable.

The staff makes your stay very pleasant.
The hotel had a misleading advertising issue. Our room was substantially smaller than the pictures showed, making for a cramped experience. Additionally, the facilities were in dire need of renovation, as we found mold in the bathroom and stains on the walls. The overall cleanliness and maintenance left much to be desired, creating doubts about the hotel's four-star rating.

The beauty of the old villa provided a serene escape, with larger-than-expected rooms and a wonderfully clean pool area. Generous breakfast offerings featured high-quality Sicilian products, ensuring a delightful start to the day. However, it is situated about 30 minutes from the main attractions, which may be a drawback for those wanting immediate access. Additionally, while the decor exudes traditional charm, modern amenities could be lacking for some guests.

It was just an appropriate option for a short break in Florence with value for money. The cappuccinos at breakfast were delicious, making each morning start on a high note. Look into early check-in or late check-out if possible.
